Ethnographic Society of Subcarpathian Ruthenia

Ethnographic Society of Subcarpathian Ruthenia (Етнографічне товариство Підкарпатської Руси; Etnohrafichne tovarystvo Pidkarpatskoi Rusy). The Society was founded in 1935 in Mukachevo for the purpose of investigating the popular culture and folklore of Transcarpathia and preserving its monuments. The society supported a museum and published a periodical, Visti Etnohrafichnoho tovarystva Pidkarpats'koï Rusy. Its president was Avhustyn Voloshyn, and its most active members were Mykhailo Obidny, O. Prykhodko, Yu. Holovatsky, and Ivan Pankevych. The society ceased to exist in 1939.
