Kyiv Literary-Artistic Society (Київське літературно-артистичне товариство; Kyivske literaturno-artystychne tovarystvo). An organization of artists, musicians, and writers established in Kyiv in 1895. It arranged literary evenings, concerts, art exhibits, and anniversary celebrations. The head of the society was the architect Vladimir Nikolaev, while Volodymyr Naumenko was one of the most active members of its board. Among the society’s members were such prominent figures as Mykola Lysenko, Olena Pchilka, Lesia Ukrainka, Ivan Nechui-Levytsky, Mykhailo Starytsky, Mykola Sadovsky, Panas Saksahansky, Mykola I. Murashko, Ivan M. Steshenko, and Oleksander Shlikhter. The society was dissolved by imperial decree in 1905.
