Petrakhnovych, Mykola [Петрахнович, Микола; Petraxnovyč; also Мороховський; Morokhovsky], b ca 1600, d after 1666 in Lviv. Painter. He was a student and then successor of the Lviv painter Fedir Senkovych and a leading member of the Lviv painters’ guild. His works include the iconostasis in the Dormition Church in Lviv (1637, now in Velyki Hrybovychi, near Lviv) and the Theotokos (1635) above the entrance to the cathedral, seven passion scenes, and six angels (1664, now lost). He is believed to have painted the portraits of Konstiantyn Korniakt and his sons.
