Seret River

Seret River. (Map: Seret River.) A left-bank tributary of the Dnister River that winds along the Podolian Upland almost entirely through Ternopil oblast. It is 242 km long and drains a basin area of 3,900 sq km. The cities of Ternopil and Chortkiv and a hydroelectric station are located on the river. Its waters are used in industry and for irrigation.
