Kalnofoisky, Atanasii

Kalnofoisky, Atanasii [Kal’nofojs’kyj, Atanasij], b and d ? A 17th-century monk who was ordered by Metropolitan Petro Mohyla to record the wondrous events that occurred at the Kyivan Cave Monastery in the immediate past. The result was the Polish work Teratourgema lubo cuda, ktore były tak w samym święto cudotwornym Monastyru Pieczarskim, Kiiowskim ... (Teraturgima, or the Miracles That Did Occur So in the Very Holy Miraculous Kyivan Cave Monastery ..., 1638). This work was analyzed in detail by Mykola Hlobenko in an article in Zbirnyk ‘Ukraïns’koï literaturnoï hazety’ (1956).
