Kanada («Канада»; Canada). Weekly newspaper published from 2 September 1913 to 4 January 1915 in Winnipeg by the Ruthenian Publishing Company, which was organized by such prominent Ukrainian members of the Conservative party as Theodore Stefanyk, P. Gigeichuk, and H. Bodnar. Its editors were I. Sluzar and Nicholas Bachynsky. The paper was subsidized by the Conservative party in Manitoba, and it portrayed the party as a friend of the Ukrainian farmer. Kanada attacked vehemently all Ukrainian leaders and organizations except for Bishop Nykyta Budka and the Ukrainian Catholic church. Its most known contributor was Petro Karmansky.
