Kyivan Cave Monastery Gospel (Києво-Печерської Лаври євангеліє; Kyievo-Pecherskoi Lavry yevanheliie). A Church Slavonic gospel transcribed before 1370 from a South-Slavic source. The manuscript consists of 181 sheets and is preserved in the museum of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv. Its language has a number of Ukrainian phonetic, morphological, and lexical features. Excerpts from it were printed in Aleksei Shakhmatov and Ahatanhel Krymsky’s Narysy z istoriï ukraïns'koï movy ta khrestomatiia z pam’iatnykiv pys'mens'koï staro-Ukraïnshchyny XI–XVIII vv. (An Outline of the History of the Ukrainian Language and a Chrestomathy of the Texts of Old Ukrainian Writing of the 11th–18th Centuries, 1924).
