Magura mountains. The name (derived from a Romanian word for hill) of several mountains and mountain ridges in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains. The highest of them is the Magura Ridge (1,362 m in height), located between the Opir River and the Myzunka River in the High Beskyd. Also of note are Mount Magura (1,015 m) in the Hutsul Beskyd between the Cheremosh River and the Seret (Siret) River in Bukovyna and Mount Magura in the southern part of the Gorgany Mountains.
