Moroz, Danylo [Мороз, Данило; pseudonyms: Danylo Kostiantynovych, D. Nedolia, Danylo], b 23 August 1841 in Sakhnivka, Chernihiv gubernia, d 15 January 1894 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Writer. He was a graduate of Kyiv University and a member of the Old Hromada of Kyiv. Moroz published an arithmetic textbook for Ukrainian Sunday schools in 1862, the story ‘Beztalanna’ (The Hapless Girl, in Osnova (Saint Petersburg), 1862, no. 10), written in the style of Marko Vovchok, the comedy Buv kin', ta z’ïzdyvsia (There Was a Horse, but He Was Worn Out by Riding, 1864), and the drama Nesparovana para (The Mispaired Pair, 1885). His memoirs appeared in Kievskaia starina (1895, nos 5–6).
