Moscow Ukrainian Theater-Studio (Українська театральна студія ім. Л. Курбаса; Ukrainska teatralna studiia im. L. Kurbasa). The studio was initiated in 1928 by Kost Burevii and the Society of Friends of Ukrainian Theater in Moscow. Les Kurbas sent Valerii Inkizhinov from Berezil to work with the studio. Its repertoire consisted of Prosper Mérimée’s short plays from Le Théâtre de Clara Gazul, Hryhorii Kosynka’s Rodychi (The Relatives, an adaptation of his story ‘Polityka’ (Politics), and the pantomime Do i pislia (Before and After) to the music of Franz Liszt. In 1932 it was incorporated into the Moscow Ukrainian Theater of the RSFSR.
