My i svit [«Ми і світ»; We and the World]. An illustrated popular journal published irregularly in Mittenwald (1950) and Paris (1951–5), and then monthly (later bimonthly) in Toronto and Niagara Falls (to 1985). Modeled in style and format on Reader's Digest, the journal contained reprinted and original articles on cultural, political, historical, and other topics. It also published literary works by Soviet Ukrainian and émigré writers. The journal devoted considerable attention to contemporary developments in Ukraine and frequently criticized émigré Ukrainian institutions and political parties. For this it was denounced by many émigrés as pro-Soviet. The editor and publisher of My i svit was Mykola Koliankivsky.
