Opishnia fortified settlement [Опішнянське городище; Opishnianske horodyshche]. A Romen-Borshcheve culture settlement of the late 8th to 9th century located in Opishnia, Poltava oblast. Excavations in 1940 and 1957 uncovered fourteen semi-pit dwellings with clay ovens, 20 agricultural buildings and workshops, tools, personal effects, and dishes.
