Proboiem [«Пробоєм»; (Let’s) Force Through]. A monthly journal published in Prague from December 1933 to January 1944 and edited by Stepan Rosokha. The organ of the Union of Subcarpathian Ukrainian Students, it fostered Ukrainian national consciousness among Transcarpathian students. From 1939 it was an overtly nationalist scholarly and literary journal. Contributors included prominent writers and critics. The Proboiem publishing house also issued some 40 books in several series. The publishing house and journal were closed by the Nazi occupational authorities.
