Shylo, Mykola [Шило, Микола; Šylo], b 6 September 1913 in Kyiv, d 22 April 1982 in Kyiv. Architect; son of Kostiantyn Shylo. A graduate of the Kyiv Civil-Engineering Institute (1939), in 1953 he was appointed director of the Kyiv Planning Institute of Residential-Civil and Communal Construction. In Kyiv he designed the building of the Ministry of Agriculture (1955–6) and residential buildings. He also helped to plan the expansion of the city center (1970).
