Tershakovets, Zinovii [Тершаковець, Зіновій; Teršakovec', Zinovij; nom de guerre: Федір; Fedir], b 19 August 1913 in Yakymchytsi, Rudky county, Galicia, d 4 November 1948 in Lviv oblast. Senior leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN); son of Hryn Tershakovets. An attorney by profession, he was one of the principal leaders of the anti-Soviet underground: leader of the OUN (Bandera faction) in Drohobych oblast (1944–5), deputy leader of the OUN in the Carpathian Mountains region (1945–6), and OUN leader for the Lviv region (1946–8). He was killed in battle with MVD troops.
