Uhniv Brigade of the Ukrainian Galician Army (Uhnivska [9] brygada UHA or Belzka [9] brygada UHA). Formed in April 1919 out of the Uhniv and Belz front units of the Northern Group of the Ukrainian Galician Army, the brigade belonged to the First Corps of the Ukrainian Galician Army (UHA) and was active in the Rava Ruska region. It was commanded by Maj Bohuslav Shashkevych. During the joint UHA and the Army of the Ukrainian National Republic offensive on Kyiv in August 1919, the brigade fought at Zhmerynka, Kalynivka, and Berdychiv. Subsequently it fought against Anton Denikin's army and was incorporated as an infantry regiment into the Second Brigade of the Red Ukrainian Galician Army. It ceased to exist following its surrender to the Polish army on 27 April 1920.
