Vinok rusynam na obzhynky [«Вінок русинам на обжинки»; A Garland for Ruthenians during the Harvest]. The title of two miscellanies published in Vienna in 1846 and 1847 by Ivan Holovatsky. They were among the first Ukrainian-language literary publications and played an important role in the early development of Ukrainian literature. The first contained Antin Dobriansky’s article on the Christianization of Ukraine-Rus’, Yakiv Holovatsky’s articles on Markiian Shashkevych and Serbian folk songs and his translations of over 20 songs, Ihnatii Danylovych’s article on Lithuanian-Ruthenian law, and over 25 poems and poetic translations by Shashkevych. The second volume included Antin Mohylnytsky’s article on the duties of Austrian subjects; stories and poems by Ivan Vahylevych, Mykola Ustyianovych, Ivan Holovatsky, Mohylnytsky, and L. Dankevych; and poems, articles on ethnographic and historical subjects, translations, and transcriptions of folk tales by Holovatsky.
