Zhar River [Жар; Zhar]. (Map: Zhar River.) A right-bank tributary of the Boh River that flows eastward for 95 km through Khmelnytskyi oblast and Vinnytsia oblast and drains a basin area of 1,170 sq km. The river is 5–10 m in width (maximum 40 m) and 0.5–1.5 m in depth, with a valley up to 4 km wide. It is used for water supply, pisciculture, and irrigation.
