Haimanova Mohyla

Haimanova Mohyla [Гайманова Могила]. A large Scythian royal kurhan of the 4th century BC situated near Balky, Vasylivka raion, Zaporizhia oblast. It was excavated in 1969–70 by V. Bidzilia. Remnants of carts and a burial feast, four burials with seven human skeletons, over 250 gold ornaments, and numerous iron, bronze, wood, bone, and clay artifacts and weapons were unearthed. The most noteworthy find was a gilded silver cup with a frieze depicting Scythian warriors.
