Lyzohub, Dmytro [Лизогуб, Дмитро], b 29 July 1849 in Sedniv, Chernihiv gubernia, d 22 August 1879 in Odesa. Revolutionary and political activist; a descendant of the Lyzohub Cossack starshyna family; son of Andrii Lyzohub; brother of Fedir Lyzohub. In 1874 he joined a Kyiv group of Russian populists led by Ivan Fesenko, and in 1877 he was one of the founders of the party Zemlia i Volia (Land and Freedom). He was convicted of participating in terrorist activities, sentenced in Odesa by a military tribunal, and hanged.
