Stanyslaviv Ukrainian Touring Theater (Український пересувний театр; Ukrainskyi peresuvnyi teatr). A touring theater founded in 1920 under the directorship of Ivan Kohutiak, with a cast from Sadovsky's Theater. It toured Galicia and Volhynia, where it performed mainly Ukrainian ethnographic plays—notably Spyrydon Cherkasenko's Kazka staroho mlyna (Tale of the Old Mill)—and Hermann Sudermann's Johannisfeuer and classical operettas, and helped to organize numerous amateur theater groups. In 1939 it was reorganized into the resident Stanislav Franko Drama Theater in Stanyslaviv (see Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Academic Music and Drama Theater).
