Aleksandrovych, Mytrofan

Aleksandrovych, Mytrofan [Александрович, Митрофан; Aleksandrovyč; pseudonym Mytro Olelkovych), b January 1837 in Kalyta, Oster county, Chernihiv gubernia, d (by suicide) 27 September 1881 in Kyiv. Aleksandrovych was the author of ethnographic tales published in Osnova (Saint Petersburg) and separately in 1895 as Ukraïns'ki pysannia Mytra Olelkovycha (Ukrainian Writings of Mytro Olelkovych), edited by Ivan Franko. He also wrote articles on Chernihiv gubernia and left an unfinished historical work on Oster county (1881).
