Chynadiieve [Čynadijeve]. Map: V-3. Town smt (2001 pop 6,817) in Mukachevo raion, Transcarpathia oblast. The town lies on the slopes of the Volcanic Ukrainian Carpathians in the valley of the Liatorytsia River. Artifacts from the Neolithic Period and the Bronze Age have been discovered there. In the medieval period it was the seat of a principality. Its main industry is the woodworking industry, and until 1950 it had a match factory. A castle and church from the 14th–15th century have been preserved. The Syniak and Karpaty sanatoriums are located near the town.
