Ibn Khordādhbih

Ibn Khordādhbih, b ca 820, d ca 912. Geographer and writer of Persian origin. He was the first Arab writer known to have written about the eastern Slavs. He is the author of a narrative (847) in which he mentions the trade routes and the visits of Rus’ merchants to Baghdad.
