Král, Jìří
Král, Jìří, b 31 October 1893 in Prague, d 24 January 1975 in Prague. Czech geographer and anthropologist; full member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society. A graduate of Prague University (1917), in the 1920s he lectured at Prague Charles University, then at Bratislava University (1929–38), and after the Second World War again at Prague University. Specializing in the geography and anthropology of Transcarpathia, he wrote Podkarpatská Rus (Subcarpathian Ruthenia, 1924) and Nejnovější mapy antropologické Slovenska a Podkarpatské Rusi (The Newest Anthropological Maps of Slovakia and Subcarpathian Ruthenia, 1933).
