Krekhovetsky, Ivan

Krekhovetsky, Ivan [Креховецький, Іван; Krexovec'kyj], b and d ? Galician nobleman and Cossack officer. Krekhovetsky conducted several diplomatic missions for Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky: to Poland (1650), Transylvania (1655), and Sweden (1656). He was later colonel of Korsun regiment (1658), then general judge under Hetman Pavlo Teteria (1665). He was captured by Ivan Briukhovetsky’s forces in Korsun in 1665 and exiled to Moscow.
