Kryvetsky, Mykhailo

Kryvetsky, Mykhailo [Кривецький, Михайло; Kryvec'kyj, Myxajlo], b 12 October 1869 in Zhytomyr, Volhynia gubernia, d 27 August 1929 in Clamart, France. Economist. Before the Revolution of 1917 Kryvetsky worked in the Russian Ministry of Finance. A member of the Ukrainian Party of Socialists-Independentists, Kryvetsky was deputy minister of finance and head of the State Bank under the Central Rada and then finance minister in the government of Serhii Ostapenko (1919). His signature appears on the 1917 Central Rada issue of Ukrainian currency. He emigrated after the fall of the Directory of the Ukrainian National Republic and lived in Vienna and later in France.
