Kuliabka

Kuliabka [Кулябка; Kuljabka]. Name of a prominent Cossack starshyna family in the Lubny region. Sylvestr Kuliabka (1701–61) was a noted theologian. His brother Ivan (ca 1705–73) was colonel in Lubny regiment (1757–71). Ivan’s son Pavlo was quartermaster of the regiment (1775–82) and several other members of the family served as captains of Lubny company or as regimental officers.
