Lashkarev, Petr

Lashkarev, Petr [Лашкарев, Пётр; Laškarev, Pjotr], b 1833 in Kursk gubernia, d 28 August 1899 in Kyiv. Church historian. He graduated from the Kyiv Theological Academy and then taught canon law and church history there (from 1866) and at Kyiv University (from 1885). He published articles on canon law and other topics in Trudy Kievskoi dukhovnoi akademii and other journals, and six of his articles on early churches and church architecture in Kyiv were collected in Tserkovno-arkheologicheskie ocherki, issledovaniia i referaty (Church Archeology Outlines, Research, and Essays, 1898).
