Maksymovych, Antin

Maksymovych, Antin [Максимович, Антін; Maksymovyč], b 30 January 1882 in Rudky, Galicia, d 22 June 1941 in Drohobych. Civic and political activist. An employee of the Limanova Co, he was active among the Ukrainian workers in the Boryslav region. In 1928 he was elected to the Polish Sejm as a candidate of the Ukrainian National Democratic Alliance. In 1940 he was arrested by the Soviets and murdered by the NKVD during mass executions of prisoners during the retreat of the Soviet authorities before the German offensive.
