Minkh, Grigorii

Minkh, Grigorii [Мінх, Григорій; Minx, Grigorij], b 19 September 1836 in Griazi, Lipetsk county, Tambov gubernia, Russia, d 23 December 1896 in Kyiv. Russian pathological anatomist and epidemiologist. After graduating from Moscow University (1861) he specialized in pathological anatomy in Germany and taught at Kyiv University (1876–95). He presided over the Kyiv Medical Society (1882–6) and participated in expeditions to Turkestan, Egypt, Palestine, and Southern Ukraine to study the plague, leprosy, and typhus.
