National University of Forest Technology of Ukraine

National University of Forest Technology of Ukraine [Національний лісотехнічний університет України; Nationalnyi lisotekhnichnyi universytet Ukrainy]. A technical school of higher education formed in 1945 under the name Lviv Institute of Forest Technology. In 1993 it was reorganized into the Ukrainian State University of Forest Technology. In 2005 it was granted the national university status and assumed its present name. It contains five research-educational institutes: forestry and orchard and park management; mechanical engineering and computer science; woodworking technologies and design; ecological economy; and correspondence courses. The enrolment is over 5,000.
