Podilia vicegerency

Podilia vicegerency [Ukrainian: Подільське намісництво, Podilske namisnytstvo; Russian: Подольское намесничество, Podolskoe namesnichestvo]. An administrative territory in Right-Bank Ukraine, set up in 1793 after the partition of Poland. It consisted of the former Podilia voivodeship and the southern part of the Volhynia voivodeship, and its administrative center was Kamianets-Podilskyi. In December of 1796 the vicegerency was abolished, and its territory was divided between Podilia gubernia and Volhynia gubernia.
