Robitnycha hazeta (1917–19)

Robitnycha hazeta (1917–19) (Workers' Gazette). A central organ of the Ukrainian Social Democratic Workers' party published daily (with interruptions) from April 1917 to sometime in 1919 in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and finally Kamianets-Podilskyi. It was edited by Volodymyr Vynnychenko and then by an editorial board headed by Isaak Mazepa. The newspaper fostered the development of Ukrainian national consciousness among Ukraine's working class and is an important primary source on Ukraine during the period of the struggle for independence (1917–20). It had a circulation of approx 15,000.
