Samostiina dumka

Samostiina dumka («Самостійна думка»; Independent Thought). A literary, scholarly, and political journal published in Chernivtsi monthly in 1931, semimonthly in 1932, and again monthly from January 1933 to March 1937. Edited by Sylvestr Nykorovych and Oleh Olzhych, the journal contained articles by prominent émigré and Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists figures (eg, Mykyta Shapoval, Nykyfor Hryhoriiv, Oleksander Mytsiuk, Mykola Stsiborsky, Sofiia Rusova, Yevhen Onatsky, and Roman Sushko) and publicists from Bukovyna, and scholarly and literary contributions from Ulas Samchuk, Mykhailo Mukhyn, Ostap Hrytsai, Stepan Smal-Stotsky, Leonid Biletsky, Vasyl Simovych, Spyrydon Cherkasenko, and others.
