Snov River

Snov River [Снов]. A right-bank tributary of the Desna River that flows for 253 km through Briansk oblast (Russian Federation) and Chernihiv oblast and drains a basin area of 8,700 sq km. The river is 4–14 m wide in its upper reaches and 20–40 m wide downstream (at one point reaching 200 m). The Snov is frozen over from late November to early April. It is used for water supply and irrigation. Its lower reaches are navigable. Snovsk and Sedniv are located on the Snov River.
