Teodorovych, Petro

Teodorovych, Petro [Теодорович, Петро; Teodorovyč; monastic name: Pavlo], b 23 April 1894, d 1946. Basilian priest; brother of Yepifan Teodorovych. After completing studies in Rome (1923) he became a professor of philosophy at the Greek Catholic Theological Seminary in Lviv (1924–5) and then head of the novitiate (1928–39) at the Krekhiv Monastery and, later, hegumen of the monastery of the Basilian monastic order in Buchach. He was arrested in 1945 after the Soviet occupation of Galicia and died the following year in a GULAG labor camp.
