Uniia

Uniia (Унія; Union; Hungarian: Unio). A publishing company in Transcarpathia, based in Uzhhorod, founded in 1902 in place of the Society of Saint Basil the Great. Uniia was also active in cultural-educational activities. It published the newspaper Nauka (1897–1914, 1918–22), Slovo Bozhe (The Word of God), and the Hungarian-language Görök-katholikus Szemle as well as popular books. Uniia was also active into the interwar period.
