Borzhkovsky, Valeriian [Боржковський, Валеріян; Boržkovs'kyj, Valerijan], b 1864 in Miziakiv, Podilia gubernia, d 1 June 1919 in Kyiv. Ethnographer, archeologist, and statistician; active member of the Brotherhood of Taras. His articles were published in Kievskaia starina and Materiialy do ukraïns'ko-rus'koï etnolohiï. Following the February Revolution of 1917 he was a county commissar in Vinnytsia on behalf of the Provisional Government. He was arrested by the Cheka on 12 April 1919 and later executed.
