Heolohichnyi zhurnal («Геологічний журнал»; Geological Journal). Scientific quarterly journal published in Kyiv by the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It first appeared in 1932 under the title Zhurnal heoloho-heohrafichnoho tsyklu. In 1934 it continued under the title Heolohichnyi zhurnal, published by the Institute of Geological Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. Its frequency was increased in 1958 from four to six issues per year. In 1963 the Division of Earth Sciences and the Ministry of Geology assumed responsibility for it. From 1978 the journal appeared only in Russian under the title Geologicheskii zhurnal. In the 1990s it reverted to publishing in Ukrainian under its current name.
