Prométhée. A French-language journal published in Paris monthly from 1926 to 1936 and then quarterly to 1938 (a total of 137 issues). The organ of the Promethean movement, it promoted the national aspirations of the Ukrainians and the Caucasian mountain peoples and Turkic peoples in the USSR and contained much information on political and cultural developments there. Its contributors included many prominent Ukrainian, Armenian, Georgian, and other émigrés. The chief editor was the Georgian G. Gvazava, and the Ukrainian section was edited by M. Shulhyn and then Ilarion Kosenko. Prométhée was succeeded by La Revue de Prométhée.
