Radekhiv [Радехів; Radexiv]. Map: III-5. A city (2011 pop 9,563) and raion center in Lviv oblast. It was first mentioned in historical documents in 1493, when it was under Polish rule. It was granted the rights of Magdeburg law in 1752. After the partition of Poland in 1772, Radekhiv belonged to Austria, was ruled by Poland (1919–39), and after the Second World War became part of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (1939). Radekhiv has a building-materials factory, a dairy, and a brewery.
