Ros River [Рось; Ros’]. (Map: Ros River.) A right-bank tributary of the Dnipro River. It is 346 km long and drains a basin area of 12,575 sq km. It originates in the Dnipro Upland and flows through Vinnytsia oblast, Kyiv oblast, and Cherkasy oblast. There are several small hydroelectric stations on the river and water from it is used for irrigation. The major centers on the river include Bila Tserkva, Bohuslav, and Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi.
