Teodorovych, Mykola I. [Теодорович, Микола; Teodorovyč], b 1856 in Hrodna, Belarus, d 10 October 1917, Saratov, Russia. Historian. After graduating from the Saint Petersburg Theological Academy he served as a school inspector in Siedlce, Podlachia. He compiled many studies of Volhynia, particularly of the history of the Ukrainian church in Volhynia, and published a description of Volhynia’s cities, towns, and villages (5 vols, 1840), an essay on the Orthodox and Protestant doctrines of original sin (1886), a historical and statistical description of the churches and parishes of Volhynia eparchy (5 vols [incomplete], 1888–99), an analysis of Volodymyr-Volynskyi in relation to the history of the Volhynian church hierarchy (1893), and a history of the Volhynian Theological Seminary (1901).
