Verbytsky, Tymofii [Verbyc’kyj, Tymofij], b ?, d ca 1642. Early printer. He probably worked at Kyrylo Stavrovetsky-Tranquillon's itinerant printing press in Pochaiv and Rokhmaniv in Volhynia (1618–19) before joining the Kyivan Cave Monastery Press (1621–4). In 1624 he established his own press in Kyiv with the assistance of Metropolitan Yov Boretsky and printed a Horologion (1625, 1626) and a Psalter (1628), and the first primer printed in Kyiv. From ca 1635 he ran the press in Câmpulung, which had been given to the Wallachian hospodar Matei Basarab by Metropolitan Petro Mohyla of Kyiv, and printed a Sacramentarion there.
