Bat’kivshchyna (Toronto)

Bat’kivshchyna (Toronto) («Батьківщина»; Our Country). An émigré, conservative, hetmanite-monarchist newspaper established in Toronto in 1955 as a successor to Ukraïns’kyi robitnyk and Nasha derzhava. Until 1980 the newspaper was a biweekly; it then appeared for a time as a monthly and had a circulation of about 1,500. The publication expired in early 1990s. It editors included Mykhailo Hetman, Mykhailo Poroniuk, and Myron Korolyshyn.
