Berezna

Berezna. Map: II-12. Town smt (2001 pop 5,672) in Mena raion, Chernihiv oblast. Before the First World War it was known for its shoemakers (the town had nearly 1,000 of them). It is now involved in food production. The town has been known since 1152. The town's most important architectural monument is the wooden Church of the Assumption (1759).
