Berries

Berries. Both wild and cultivated berry patches are widespread in Ukraine. Berry cultures occupy about 2 percent of the land devoted to fruit cultivation. Strawberries are the dominant cultivated crop, followed by black currants and raspberries. Gooseberries and red currants are also grown. The largest berry patches are in Polisia, in the Carpathian Mountains, and in the vicinity of large cities.
