Bosh, Yevheniia

Bosh, Yevheniia [Бош, Євгенія; Boš, Jevhenija], b 23 August 1879 in Ochakiv, Odesa county, Kherson gubernia, d 5 January 1925 in Moscow. Bolshevik activist. In 1917 Bosh prepared a military uprising against the Central Rada in Kyiv and Vinnytsia. In 1917–18 she was the people's secretary of internal affairs in the Soviet government in Kharkiv and commanded Bolshevik battalions in Ukraine. Bosh wrote Natsional'noe pravitel'stvo i sovetskaia vlast' na Ukraine (The National Government and Soviet Power in Ukraine, 1919) and God bor'by (A Year of Struggle, 1925).
