Brandt, Józef, b 11 February 1841 in Szczebrzeszyn, Poland, d 12 June 1915 in Radom. (Portrait: Józef Brandt.) Polish painter of battle scenes. A number of his paintings depict themes from Ukrainian history of the Cossack period.
